This H2O cylinder-piston kit from Malossi is reserved for the Aprilia RS4 125 vehicle model built between 2011 and 2016. The cylinder and the weight-reduced, reinforced super-compact piston are machined on high-precision CNC machines. The piston-cylinder fit is 0.05 mm.

Cylinder construction and heat exchange

  • Bore: Ø 67 mm
  • Compression ratio: 12:1
  • Cylinder made of a high-silicon, refined and hardened aluminum alloy
  • Inner liner with silicon carbide coating on a galvanic nickel matrix
  • Cross-smoothing in two diamond steps while maintaining very tight tolerances
  • Recalculated and extra large heat exchange surfaces

The precise CNC machining and the defined fit characterize the constructive coordination of the cylinder and piston. The enlarged heat exchange surfaces are designed on both the cylinder and the piston.

Pistons and piston rings

The super-compact piston with three segments is made of a special aluminum-silicon alloy with low thermal expansion. The sliding surfaces have a tin additive. The design is complemented by special piston rings with extremely high mechanical strength.
