The Regina 525 HPE Z-ring chain with rivet closure sets new standards in motorcycle technology. This innovative chain is characterized by its High Performance Endurance (HPE) technology, which eliminates the need for regular lubrication that would otherwise be required every 1,000 km. This not only offers motorcyclists a significant increase in comfort, but also a longer service life compared to conventionally lubricated Z-ring chains.

Extensive testing in the laboratory and on the road has proven that the HPE chain is at least as durable, if not more durable, than traditional Z-ring chains. A special feature of this chain is the coating made of tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the chain's bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The very high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction results in improved performance. Additionally, eliminating the need for chain cleaning and lubricant splash during operation minimizes environmental impact. This technological innovation was made possible by the intensive research and development work of Regina engineers in Italy.
