The VERTEX GP Racer Choice forged piston is designed for the Husqvarna FE 250 in the 2017-2023 model year range. Its design was developed with a focus on the efficiency and reliability of powerful engines and combines an optimized piston crown shape with targeted reinforcements.

Racing construction for the upper engine area

The design of the piston crown supports a favorable flame front and the design for the maximum permissible compression ratio. The reinforcements stiffen the piston structure and reduce deformation of the piston crown under full load. A surface treatment serves to reduce friction.

Designed detailed features

The short piston pin has a chamfer with a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating. A locking ring with a nose on the outside counteracts twisting at high speeds. The extra-thin GNH piston ring made of gas nitrided steel increases wear resistance.
