MALOSSI cylinder kit Ø 63 for the LML Star 150

The MALOSSI cylinder kit Ø 63 is for LML Star 150 Limited Edition Bicolore in the full year range 2013–2017 provided. The bore of 63 mm and the stroke of 57 mm result in a displacement of 178 cm3. The kit is made of aluminum and designed for urban/sport use with the Easy processing level.

Revised flow routing

The internal fluid dynamics have been extensively revised. Profiled overflow channels align the inlet flow and promote high turbulence. The rear overflow channels feature a double slope (1-2) profile, while the outlet has been redesigned for an orderly flow of gas towards the exhaust. This design supports combustion efficiency, scavenging and reduction of fresh charge losses.

Piston and cylinder head

The two-ring piston with a diameter of 63 mm has a profile tailored to high operating temperatures. The reduced clutch play supports even guidance in the liner. The double ring ensures that the piston slides and is sealed against the pressures generated in the combustion chamber.

The hemispherical cylinder head features numerically machined internal surfaces, an inclined yet central spark plug position and revised cooling fins. Two centering bushings support the coupling between head and cylinder; the separation is done by an O-ring.
