MALOSSI Fly System for Yamaha X-MAX 400 R

The MALOSSI Fly System combines a reinforced centrifugal clutch with a steel clutch bell. The combination is designed for sporty scooter use and combines two separately developed MALOSSI components in one system. The clutch bell has a diameter of ø 160.

Function and area of application

The Fly Clutch was developed for heavy-duty use. These include frequent stop-and-go on steep streets, heavy city traffic, long periods at traffic lights, driving with a passenger and high outside temperatures, below which the temperature of the scooter is more difficult to control. The reinforced design is tailored to these recurring loads.

Technical features

• Centrifugal clutch system with clutch bell
• Clutch bell made of forged Fe DC04 deep-drawn steel
• Carbon steel center section made of round material, TIG welded
• Welded anti-vibration band with a 3-point 120° pattern
• 100% dynamically balanced
• Surface hardened by nitriding
